Bouquet For Baby-One for Now, One for Always.
Giving Fresh and Silk Flowers for Floral Memories That Never
Fade.
Having a baby is one of the most exciting times in a woman's
life. From the time of childhood, nearly every little girl
grows up wanting to be a mommy. W hen that blessed day
finally arrives, it is surely something to celebrate. Family
and fri
ends all gather first at the
hospital and then again when mother and child leave the
hospital to go home. The arrival of a new addition is also one
of the most universal gift-giving occasions that occur in our
culture. When choosing a gift for the new mother, flowers are a
common choice. The fragrant blooms fill any room with a sense
of festivity and joy. The lovely colors and delecate blooms
seem to be a very fitting accompaniment to the newest little
life that has joined in the new family.
Historically, flowers have been given as gifts for many
reasons. Flowers also have a wide variety of meanings and
designations. For example, each month of the year has a
dedicated birth flower and choosing the flower of the month
that the baby is born has a special significance and can begin
a tradition of birthday well wishes. We are all familiar with
the meaning behind some familiar flowers. The red rose has long
been a symbol of passionate love and the simple daisy says
innocence like nothing else.
A Double Bouquet for Mother and Baby.
When using flowers to honor a new mother, try investigating the
meanings behind certain flowers and send a deeper message with
your gift. Both an orchid and an hibiscus, for example stand
for delicate beauty and either (or both) can be a perfect
flower to commemorate the birth of a baby. A beutiful yellow
wildlfower, that is actually not one flower, but a composite of
several flowers that combine and outer ring of thin ray flowers
and an inner circle made of disc type flowers, the coltsfoot
means maternal love and care. Day lilies come in a wide
assortment of colors and varieties and are known as the emblem
of the mother.
Because flowers are such a traditional gift for new moms, it
can be difficult to find a way to make yours extraodinary and
unique. A great way to set your floral gift apart is to present
not one arrangement but two. New mothers always love fresh
flowers, but why not surprise her with a second bouquet of silk
flowers to treasure forever? Babies have a knack of taking up
nearly every moment of mom's time, and silk flowers are
certainly easier to manage than fresh stems. Silk flowers are
not only exquisite, but they are particularly well suited for a
baby gift since they have no pollen that can cause
uncomfortable allergies for the baby. By giving a silk
arrangement, the entire family can enjoy the ambiance and
beauty of flowers without any of the worry of allergens.
Crafting Floral Adornments and Special Keepsakes.
Silk flowers also offer great
versatility for decorqting and craft ideas. Today's silk
flowers are so beautifully crafted from silky delicate
materials that it is often difficult to distinguish them
from fresh flowers. After the arrangement has been
enjoyed as is the flowers can be taken apart and used to
adorn a baby keepsake such as
a baby footprint or a
special photograph.
The next time you are considering a baby gift for that special
new mom in your life, don't hesitate to bring flowers - but
bring both fresh flowers and a beautiful silk flower bouquet so
she can enjoy them now and always.
